What are the 'Five Pillars' of Islam?

These are the five basics of  Muslims which they have to follow honestly during their life time. If they Succeeded in achieving this goal, they are succeeded in this world and the next world. These five pillars upon which a Muslim has to walk in the world are must to every Muslim, these are:

1. FAITH: means declaration of Shahadah 
Shahada: There is no god worthy of worship except God and Muhammad is His messenger

2. PRAYER: Which means offering of Prayers.
Its is must to every muslim to perform prayers during day and night. In Quran Allah says:

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ


3. THE 'ZAKAT'
All the things and whatever we have is all Allah's Given, Zakat is given to needy people, Zakat is given by a person from his/her wealth. Usually it is two and a half percent of one's capital. It purifies and increases our wealth. 
4. THE FAST:
Which means fasting from dawn to dusk, without  eating, drinking, and having sexual relations. All the Muslims fast for a month in the holy Ramadan.

5. PILGRIMAGE (Hajj)
It is the annual process during which the Muslims perform this obligation. It is must to every Muslim to perform Hajj if they are good financially as well as physically. This obligation is performed in the Twelfth month of the Islamic year and in the country of Makkah and Saudi Arabia. 

ذَ‌ٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِلْمُتَّقِينَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ
